Everton Makes History with Abdoulaye Doucoure’s Record-Breaking Goal Against Leicester
In an unforgettable Premier League clash, Everton made history with a lightning-fast goal from Abdoulaye Doucoure against Leicester. The Toffees wasted no time, as Doucoure scored just 10.18 seconds into the match, marking the fourth-fastest goal in Premier League history. This incredible strike was also the fastest ever by a home team since the league’s reformation in 1992.
The goal came immediately from the kick-off. James Garner passed the ball back to goalkeeper Jordan Pickford, who launched a long ball upfield. Doucoure capitalized on some poor Leicester defending, chesting the ball down and effortlessly sliding it past goalkeeper Mads Hermansen. Astonishingly, the scoreboard had not even come on by the time the ball crossed the line.
This rapid goal put Everton in front early in a crucial relegation battle against Leicester. It was a perfect start for the team, with Beto doubling the lead on six minutes after beating the offside trap and scoring a composed finish. By halftime, Beto had added another goal, bringing the score to 3-0 in Everton’s favor.
Despite the stunning record set by Doucoure, the match remained competitive as Everton pushed on for victory, while Leicester struggled to respond.
