Lionel Messi Breaks Another Record Set By Cristiano Ronaldo
Paris Saint-Germain’s forward player, Lionel Messi has broken another record that was held by Cristiano Ronaldo.
The Argentine scored a goal from open play against Lyon in the Ligue 1 on Sunday, September 18th, 2022. That goal means Messi (672) has surpassed both Pele (671) and Cristiano Ronaldo (671) for most non-penalty goals in the history of football.
The former Barcelona player has been in fantastic form this season for PSG compared to his poor form in his first season. However, Ronaldo has not been in good form under the new manager at Manchester United, Erik Ten Hag.
Lionel Messi now has more goals than Cristiano Ronaldo, discounting penalties.
