Cristiano Ronaldo Bags Another Award
Manchester United’s forward player, Cristiano Ronaldo might not be getting the business done on the pitch but he is still getting his recognition off the pitch.
Ronaldo was named the most influential footballer on Instagram ahead of the FIFA World Cup that will be hosted in Qatar, according to reports from the BBC. The 37-year-old is now following 461 million people on his official Instagram account which is ahead of Paris Saint-Germain’s trio of Kylian Mbappe, Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
The rankings are based on Nielsen’s influencer measurement tool, which evaluates total followers, follower growth, engagement rate and average brand value per post on Instagram. It ranked players who are expected torture at the World Cup. Ronaldo has had an increase of 48% in followers since last year while Messi has an increase of 36%.
Ronaldo is believed to have a huge post value of $3,585,218 (£3,131,096) while Messi who is followed by 360 million people has a massive post value of $2,631,388 (£2,298,083).
