Casemiro Offered £650,000-a-Week Deal to Join Cristiano Ronaldo at Al-Nassr
Manchester United midfielder Casemiro has reportedly been offered a lucrative £650,000-a-week deal to join Al-Nassr, where he could reunite with former teammate Cristiano Ronaldo. According to reports, the Brazilian is expected to depart Old Trafford during the January transfer window.
The transfer effort is being led by Saudi Pro League sporting director Michael Emenalo, who is keen to secure Casemiro’s services. Emenalo praised the player’s abilities, calling him a “world-class” addition to the team.
If the deal goes through, the 32-year-old would become one of the highest earners in the league. Casemiro, who joined Manchester United in August 2022 for £70 million from Real Madrid, has been a crucial part of the squad. However, uncertainty has arisen regarding his future, particularly under current manager Ruben Amorim.
Casemiro still has 18 months remaining on his contract at Manchester United, which includes significant bonuses that bring his weekly earnings to approximately £450,000. Despite his contributions, the club is reportedly open to selling him, with an asking price of around £25 million.
Should Casemiro accept the offer, he would follow a growing trend of prominent players moving to Saudi Arabia, drawn by the league’s ambitious plans and highly competitive salaries. This potential transfer reflects the Saudi Pro League’s commitment to attracting top talent and enhancing its global reputation.
