Arteta Confirms Saka Nearing Return Ahead of Chelsea Clash
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has provided a positive update on Bukayo Saka, confirming that the winger is edging closer to a return from injury.
The England international has been sidelined for over two months with a hamstring issue, missing several crucial matches, including Arsenal’s hard-fought draw against Manchester United at Old Trafford.
With the Gunners set to face Chelsea in a vital Premier League showdown this Sunday, Arteta expressed optimism about Saka’s recovery during his pre-match press conference.
“He’s getting closer,” Arteta stated. “He’s stepping up and making very good progress. Let’s see when we decide to throw him in, how he reacts, and how quickly he can regain full fitness.”
Saka’s return would be a major boost for Arsenal, who are currently sitting second in the league, just behind Liverpool in the title race.
