Seyi Tinubu Not Too Young to Be Governor, Minister Says Amid U.S. Rumors
Minister Backs Seyi Tinubu for Lagos Governorship, Highlights Dedication to Nigeria
Minister of Youth Development, Ayodele Olawande, has voiced strong support for Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Tinubu, as a potential successor to Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
Speaking on January 12, Olawande described Seyi as qualified and experienced, emphasizing his commitment to youth empowerment and leadership.
“He is not too young to become a governor; that’s the truth,” Olawande stated during an interview with Seun Okinbaloye. The minister highlighted Seyi’s active involvement in supporting young Nigerians, asserting that he remains dedicated to his work in Nigeria rather than living abroad.
Olawande’s remarks follow the November 2024 endorsement of Seyi Tinubu by the Coalition of Nigerian Youth Leaders (CONYL).
