Simon Ekpa’s Deputy, Ngozi Orabueze, Outlines Plan for His Release from Detention in Finland
Ngozi Ezeobika Orabueze, Deputy Prime Minister of the Biafra Government in Exile, has vowed to secure the release of Simon Ekpa, the self-proclaimed Prime Minister of the government, who is currently detained in Finland. Ekpa faces allegations of engaging in terrorist activities, including using social media to promote separatist propaganda for the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).
In her Christmas message, Orabueze reaffirmed her commitment to the actualization of the United States of Biafra and the release of Ekpa. She called on Biafrans to maintain their trust in her leadership and support the government-in-exile’s efforts.
“As we celebrate this festive season, I send my warmest Christmas wishes to all law-abiding Biafrans, especially the Biafra Defense Forces, for their relentless efforts to defend our territory against the occupying Nigerian state,” she stated.
Orabueze expressed hope for a prosperous future, encouraging Biafrans to remain steadfast in their support. She emphasized the government’s ongoing work toward international recognition and Ekpa’s eventual return to lead the movement toward independence.
She concluded by saying, “Our Prime Minister, Ekpa Simon Njoku, continues to guide us through this final phase of achieving the dream of the United States of Biafra—an independent, sovereign nation founded on the principles of justice, fairness, and equity.”
