Mixed Reactions Emerge Over Peter Obi’s Statement on Queen Naomi’s Arrest Following Oyo Stampede

Social media users have taken to their official X account on Sunday to react to the comment that the former governor of Anambra state, Peter Obi made after Queen Naomi was arrested over the stampede that happened in Oyo state.
According to the post that the former governor of Anambra state shared on his page, he appealed to the government to reconsider the action. Peter Obi stated that an act of goodwill should not be criminalized.
According to Peter Obi on his official X account;
“The recent arrest of the organizers of a palliative distribution program in Oyo state, spearheaded by the former wife of the Ooni of Ife, has come to my attention. I want to make a heartfelt appeal to the government to reconsider this action. Acts of goodwill, even when they unintentionally result in unfortunate outcomes, should not be criminalized”.
