Dangote Refinery Reduces Petrol Gantry Price by N50 Per Litre

Dangote Refinery has reduced its nationwide petrol gantry price from N1,175 per litre to N1,125 per litre, representing a N50 decrease.

Confirming the adjustment on June 25, Dangote Group spokesperson Anthony Chiejina said, “It is true our petrol gantry price was reduced by N50 per litre.”

The refinery also reduced its coastal petrol supply price from N1,495,215 per metric tonne to N1,428,165 per metric tonne.

The latest reduction follows a previous N75-per-litre cut announced on June 16. Combined, the refinery has lowered its petrol gantry price by N125 per litre within two weeks.

The price adjustments come amid a decline in global crude oil prices, which have fallen to between $69 and $73 per barrel.

Retail fuel prices in Abuja and surrounding areas currently range from N1,241 to N1,305 per litre. Industry observers are monitoring whether the latest reduction will lead to further adjustments in pump prices nationwide.
