Wizkid’s ‘Morayo’ Breaks Records on Billboard Afrobeats Chart
Wizkid’s sixth album, Morayo, has made history as the first album to have all its tracks chart on the Billboard Afrobeats Chart for eight consecutive weeks.
Released on November 22, 2025, the album features 16 songs, all of which remained on the chart as of the tracking week ending January 25, 2025.
Leading the chart entries is “Piece of My Heart” featuring Brent Faiyaz at No. 5, while “Lose” closes the list at No. 45. Morayo has also achieved several milestones, including the biggest first-week streams on Spotify Nigeria and becoming the first album with all tracks surpassing 500,000 streams on their opening day on Spotify Nigeria.
The album, a tribute to Wizkid’s late mother, features guest appearances from Asake, Jazmine Sullivan, Tiakola, and Anais Cardot. Its lead single, “Piece of My Heart,” set a record for the biggest opening day on Spotify Nigeria, later surpassed by Wizkid’s follow-up track, “Dance (Kese).”
Wizkid performed songs from Morayo at several events in Lagos, including the Oando End of Year Party, where he shared the stage with Davido and Burna Boy. Following the album’s success, Wizkid has teased a 2025 tour, which fans eagerly await.
