Tinubu Hails Fuji Icon Adewale Ayuba on 60th Birthday
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has celebrated veteran Fuji musician Adewale Ayuba as he marks his 60th birthday on March 25.
Acknowledging Ayuba’s immense contribution to the Fuji genre, Tinubu praised him as a cultural icon whose music has resonated across generations.
Since debuting at 17, Ayuba, fondly known as the Bonsue Fuji King, has remained a key figure in Nigeria’s music scene. His 1991 album Bubble earned widespread acclaim, topping charts and winning multiple awards.
Commending his dedication to youth development and talent nurturing, Tinubu stated:
“Today, we celebrate an icon whose talent and dedication have brought joy to generations. Through his lyrics, Adewale Ayuba has etched his name in gold, standing as a formidable force in our cultural history.”
The President wished Ayuba a long life and continued success in inspiring future entertainers.
