‘Stop crying foul’ — Actress Ifemeludike tells Nollywood producers: AMVCA

Nollywood actress, Chioma Grace Ifemeludike has urged Southeast movie producers to stop crying foul over perceived snub at the Africa Magic Viewers’Choice Awards (AMVCA).
This comes after her colleague, Adanma Luke, accused AMVCA of ignoring South-East actors, and honouring ‘Yoruba cartels’.
Speaking on the snub, Ifemeludike said ‘South-east movie producers recycle locations, artists and everything recyclable and you want to be invited to the table of professionals who put in hard work, commitment and creativity. Up your game guys, film-making is serious business’
‘Let’s stop crying foul every time these people are awarding and celebrating themselves, as much as I agree that some recognition needs to be directed towards here for encouragement but we really need to invest more time, passion and professionalism to this film business.
‘You can’t make a poorly planned movie with everything from cast to post production done haphazardly and trust me it’s not an issue of budget but adequate planning.
We shoot in a rush and want it sold out in a rush while on the other hand these other guys spend time in pre and post production.
‘Let’s just work on ourselves and shun mediocrity. We must do things well, pay attention to details, train your cast from time to time and most importantly feed them on set.
‘It’s laughable how we keep running in cycles and keep blaming everyone else but ourselves…Ezigbo afia na’ele onweya! (Quality sells it self) #akaekpuchionwa
