Odumodublvck Recounts Near-Death Experience With Drug Abuse

Nigerian rapper Odumodublvck has opened up about his past struggles with drug addiction, revealing how he almost lost his life to an overdose while studying at the University of Lagos.

Speaking on the Tea With Tay podcast, the Pity The Boy crooner said his substance use spiraled out of control during his university days, culminating in a near-fatal incident.

“I was a very bright student at UNILAG, but I was indulging in drugs. One day, I took it and almost died. I called my mother to book my flight to return to Abuja. After that incident, I only took drugs once before quitting,” he recounted.

Odumodublvck expressed gratitude for surviving the ordeal, noting that many others are not as fortunate.

“There are some people that went into that life and didn’t make it out. Some didn’t make it alive, some lost friends to it, some even committed suicide because of overdose. I’ve seen a pregnant woman and her husband battling drug addiction. It’s really terrible,” he added.
