Kenneth Okonkwo Explains Why Opposition Members Are Joining APC

Kenneth Okonkwo, a Nigerian lawyer who once served as the spokesperson for the Labour Party LP, has disclosed the reason that opposition parties have had such a significant amount of defection.
In recent times, a sizeable number of members of opposition parties, including members of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and the Labour Party (LP), have defected to the All Progressive Congress (APC), which is currently in power, without divulging the reasons that led them to make this decision.
On the other hand, Kenneth Okonkwo, a legal practitioner, indicated in an interview with Arise News that members of opposition parties are defecting to the APC in order to take advantage of the party’s political supremacy in order to rig elections in advance of the elections in 2027.
According to the information provided, “What the opposition party is doing is that they are running into the ruling party so they can use the state apparatus of power to rig the election in 2027.” .
