Jesus Really Disrupted My Dj Career Plans&Quot; – Dj Cuppy Shares Her Spiritual Transformation

Florence Otedola, popularly known as DJ Cuppy, has opened up about how her deepening faith has significantly shifted her life and career goals. Taking to social media platform X, the 31-year-old entertainer reflected on her spiritual journey and how it has reshaped her path.

Cuppy revealed that her baptism at Holy Trinity Brompton in London in August 2024 was a defining moment, calling it the “best decision” she has ever made. In a candid post, she wrote, “Was thinking this evening, Jesus really disrupted my DJ career plans o but in the BEST way. Booked and busy means nothing if you’re not walking in purpose.”

Her career as a DJ began in 2014 when she gained recognition as the resident DJ for the MTV Africa Music Awards. Over the years, she expanded her presence in the music and entertainment world with hits like “Gelato,” “Green Light,” “Vybe,” “Currency,” and “Jollof On The Jet.” More recently, she stepped into acting, further showcasing her creative range.

Beyond the spotlight, Cuppy, the daughter of billionaire businessman Femi Otedola, has also focused heavily on her education. She earned a Master’s degree in African Studies from Oxford University in March 2023, underlining her passion for intellectual and personal development.

In March 2024, her influence was further recognized when King Charles III named her a King’s Trust International Ambassador—an appointment that reflects her growing impact beyond the entertainment industry.

Cuppy’s new outlook emphasizes that real success isn’t just about accolades or a packed schedule. Her story highlights the importance of purpose, faith, and alignment with one’s true calling. With her evolving journey, DJ Cuppy is not only redefining what success looks like but also encouraging others to reflect on their own paths and values.
