Gospel Singer Nnenna Goodness Tearfully Pleads for Financial Help
Nigerian gospel singer, Sister Nnenna Goodness, has made an emotional appeal for financial assistance, revealing her struggles with severe economic hardship.
In a viral video, Sister Nnenna breaks down in tears, explaining how she lost ownership rights to her songs—once her source of fame and success. The devastating setback has left her in poverty and struggling to survive.
“When you see me, you will see frustration, rejection, and poverty. As a result of the frustration, we were chased out of the house,” she lamented.
Her heartbreaking plea has sparked widespread reactions, with many social media users confirming that her songs remain on YouTube but under someone else’s control.
This situation has reignited debates on whether gospel musicians should profit from their work. Recently, Pastor Femi Lazarus suggested that gospel artists should not excessively monetize their talent. However, his stance faced criticism after reports surfaced that his ministry school charges a significant fee of $150.
Many argue that gospel musicians deserve fair compensation, especially since churches and ministries benefit from their music. Sister Nnenna’s ordeal has drawn attention to the financial struggles of many gospel artists, leading to calls for reforms to ensure they receive the recognition and financial stability they deserve.
