Fayose Sends N500K to Asake’s Father
Isaac Fayose, the brother of former Ekiti State Governor Ayo Fayose, has donated ₦500,000 to Fatai Odunsi Adeshina, who claims to be the father of Nigerian singer Asake.
This follows Fayose’s public criticism of Asake for allegedly neglecting his ailing father. On Saturday, Fayose confirmed that he had spoken with Odunsi and fulfilled his promise to assist him financially.
“As I promised, we will take care of Asake’s father if he refuses to do so,” Fayose stated.
“I spoke with his father this morning, and he’s a very happy man. I prayed for him and sent ₦500,000 to support him.”
Fatai Odunsi had earlier made a public appeal, claiming that since he suffered a stroke in 2022, Asake had not provided financial support or responded to his calls.
“I am Asake’s father. I gave birth to him. I gave birth to Asake, Ahmed, the singer. Babatunde Ololade Odunsi, Mr. Money. Since I had a stroke, I haven’t seen him. The last time I saw him was March 29, 2022. He doesn’t pick my calls when I call him. Please, I only need your help,” he pleaded.
