Enugu SSG Schedules Mother’s Burial for November 30

The Secretary to the Enugu State Government (SSG), Prof. Chidiebere Onyia, is set to lay his late mother, Mrs. Grace Ogoegbunam Onyia (née Achime), to rest on November 30, 2024, at her family home in Udeji Village, Amechi Awkunanaw, Enugu South Local Government Area.

The burial program released by the family outlines the events as follows:

• Service of Songs: Friday, November 29, 2024, at 5 PM, at St. Matthew’s Anglican Church, Udeji Village.
• Funeral Service: Saturday, November 30, 2024, at 11 AM, at Amechi Football Field, Kenneth Nnamani Road, followed by interment at her country home. Guests will be received at the same venue.
• Thanksgiving Service: Sunday, December 1, 2024, at 10 AM, at St. Matthew’s Anglican Church.

Mrs. Onyia dedicated her life to public service, beginning as a teacher before transitioning to the Federal and later Enugu State Civil Service. She retired as an Assistant Chief Catering Officer in the Cabinet Office, Enugu, after a distinguished career.
