Niniola
Niniola Apata, known professionally as Niniola, is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, and performer. She was born on December 15, 1986, in Lagos State, Nigeria. She is the elder sister of fellow Nigerian singer Teni.
Niniola first gained national recognition after participating in the sixth season of Project Fame West Africa in 2013, where she emerged as the second runner-up. Following the competition, she launched her professional music career and quickly established herself as one of the leading female voices in Afrobeats and Afro-house music.
She achieved mainstream success with the release of her 2014 single Ibadi, which earned critical acclaim and introduced her unique blend of Afro-pop, house, and dance music to a wider audience. Over the years, she has released notable songs such as Maradona, Sicker, Bana, and Addicted, becoming widely recognized as the “Queen of Afro-House”.
In 2020, Niniola released her debut studio album, Colours and Sounds, featuring collaborations with artists including Femi Kuti, Busiswa, Sarz, and Timbaland. Her innovative sound and international appeal have earned her recognition both within Africa and across global music markets.
