JUST IN: VP Kashim Shettima and PDP Leader Bukola Saraki Spotted Together in Benue State (Photos)
The Vice President of Nigeria, Kashim Ibrahim Shettima has been pictured together with a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, Senator Abubakar Bukola Saraki at a funeral programme in honour of late former Chairman of the Northern Elders Forum (NEF), Dr. Wantaregh Paul Iyorpuu Unongo in Makurdi, Benue State on Tuesday.
Kashim Shettima stated on his verified Facebook page on Tuesday; “Today, I joined family, friends, and associates to pay our respects and glowing tributes to late former Chairman of the Northern Elders Forum (NEF), Dr. Wantaregh Paul Iyorpuu Unongo, at a funeral programme in Makurdi, Benue State.”
He added; “I offered heartfelt condolences to the family of the deceased on behalf of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, noting that Dr. Unongo’s burial is a celebration of a life well-lived, and a legacy well-secured. Also in my remarks, I extolled the virtues of the late former Chairman of the Northern Elders Forum who demonstrated that leadership can transcend time and generations.”
The former Governor of Borno State stated further; “Many live long only to contradict the ideals of their younger years, but he was an exception. He remained a model of dignity, humility, and purpose.”
