Dare Adeleke Accuses Wike of Undermining PDP, Calls Actions a “Devilish Act”
Dare Adeleke, Chairman of the Caretaker Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ekiti State, has sharply criticized FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, accusing him of actively working against the party that once elevated him to national recognition.
As reported by Punch Newspapers, Adeleke expressed deep disappointment over Wike’s recent conduct, suggesting that the former Rivers State governor has turned his back on the PDP and is contributing to the party’s internal instability.
“I think he is working against the interest of his party, PDP,” Adeleke said, emphasizing that Wike’s current actions run contrary to the values of loyalty and unity the party expects from its prominent members.
He further condemned Wike’s alleged declaration that the PDP should cease to exist, calling it a betrayal. “It is a devilish act for anybody that has reaped from the PDP, that has benefitted immensely from the party, to now turn around saying that the party must be dead. It is quite unfortunate. This is not democracy,” Adeleke added.
His comments reflect the growing frustration among PDP loyalists, many of whom feel Wike’s alliances and public statements are damaging to the party’s credibility and weakening its chances in future elections.
