The Taraba State Government has strongly condemned the cruel and degrading treatment inflicted on a young boy, Musa Alhassan, by his teacher, Ahmadu Hassan, in the Saurara area of Jalingo.
In a statement released on Friday, October 4, the Commissioner for Women Affairs and Child Development, Hon. Mary Sinjen, labeled the violent act as a severe violation of human rights that will not be tolerated.
The Ministry reported that Musa Alhassan is currently receiving medical care in Jalingo, and the state government is committed to ensuring his well-being.
“Our priority is his full recovery, and we are closely tracking his progress,” the statement emphasized.
The teacher responsible, Ahmadu Hassan, has been apprehended and handed over to the authorities for further legal action.
The government has reassured the public that justice will be upheld, stressing that there will be no tolerance for impunity in this matter.
Additionally, reports indicate that the boy is improving under medical care, and his latest picture has been shared.
