Nigerian Afrobeat sensation, Ruger, Officially Announces Departure from Jonzing World Record Label via Statement
The announcement was made by Ruger himself on his verified Instagram page today, Tuesday, February 6, 2024, where he expressed gratitude to his mentor and label boss, Dprince, for the support and belief in his talent throughout his tenure with the label.
Despite the sadness of parting ways with Jonzing World, Ruger emphasized his readiness to take a bold step forward in his career. He revealed his intention to launch his own record label, named Blown Boyent, indicating a new phase in his musical journey.
Acknowledging the pivotal role played by Jonzing World and Dprince in his artistic growth, the Asiwaju conveyed his appreciation while expressing confidence in his ability to navigate the path ahead with God’s guidance.
In his post, he wrote, “Thank you Jonzing world and dprince for believing in me and taking me this far. Wouldn’t have gotten here without you. It’s sad that I have to leave but God knows best. I am taking a big bet on myself this year. I don’t know it all but I know God will see me through. It is time for @blownboyent.”
