Lagos threatens to prosecute pedestrians crossing highways

Lagos State Government Vows to Prosecute Individuals Crossing Major Highways Instead of Utilizing Pedestrian Bridges
The state Commissioner for the Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, on his X handle on Sunday.
He said a marching order had been given to environmental law officials in the state to enforce the law against crossing the major highways on foot.
“Crossing the highway is an offence in Lagos State. Lagos State Government has given a marching order to the #LAGESCOfficial (KAI) Marshall and other law enforcement officials to arrest anyone crossing the highway and then charge them to court immediately.
“Please, use the pedestrian bridges across the state.”
