Igbo Youths Urge Tinubu to Address Sit-at-Home Orders

Igbo youth, represented by the Coalition of South East Youth Leaders (COSEYL), have expressed strong disapproval of the ongoing sit-at-home orders, stating that they negatively impact the economy of the South-East region.
In a statement, COSEYL President General Goodluck Ibem criticized the recent sit-at-home directives, emphasizing that there have been numerous appeals for these orders to be discontinued.
It’s important to note that the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and the Biafra Republic Government In-Exile, led by Simon Ekpa, were originally linked to these sit-at-home orders but have since distanced themselves from the most recent announcement.
Ibem’s statement included an appeal to President Bola Tinubu, urging him to consider releasing Nnamdi Kanu from the custody of the Department of State Services (DSS) to help end all forms of economic disruption that hinder the country’s growth and development.
