Eedris Abdulkareem To Seyi Tinubu: Travel Without Escorts To Understand Nigerians’ Struggles

Veteran Nigerian rapper and activist, Eedris Abdulkareem, has once again taken a bold stance on the state of the nation, this time directing strong criticism at President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his son, Seyi Tinubu, amidst worsening economic and security conditions in Nigeria.

Speaking out against what he described as the increasing suffering of ordinary Nigerians, Abdulkareem pointedly accused President Tinubu of being “the best father to Seyi, but the worst President in Nigeria’s history.”

According to a report by Channels Television, Abdulkareem lambasted Seyi Tinubu for attempting to speak on national issues, saying he lacked the experience and understanding needed to relate to the challenges faced by everyday citizens. “Nigerian youths don’t have jobs, they can’t afford food, and yet Seyi is calling his father the greatest president? Let him travel by road without security escorts and feel what the people are going through,” he said.

The rapper emphasized that Nigerians were growing weary of unfulfilled promises and superficial relief measures. He called for meaningful solutions such as job creation, reliable electricity, improved security, and leaders who genuinely listen to the needs of the people. “What people want are jobs, stable electricity, security, and a Government that listens, not political propaganda,” Abdulkareem stressed.

His comments came in direct response to Seyi Tinubu’s recent speech at a political event in Adamawa, where he praised his father, President Tinubu, as “the greatest President Nigeria had ever had.” Abdulkareem’s fiery rebuttal reflects the frustration of many Nigerians seeking real change in the face of daily hardship.
