“After Kidnapping 5 of Us, They Shot One of Their Own and Asked Us to Carry the Corpse” – Kidnap Victim

In a harrowing interview with Arise News, Kabir Sani, a man who narrowly escaped from armed bandits, shared a chilling account of his abduction. Sani, who requested to remain anonymous, was one of three victims to escape, but not before enduring a terrifying ordeal at the hands of the kidnappers.
Sani revealed that he and four others were initially taken by the bandits. “After kidnapping five of us, they branched into another residence to kidnap more people. That was when they mistakenly shot one of their own,” he recalled. In a disturbing twist, the bandits then demanded that the captives carry the body of their fallen comrade. “They asked us to carry the corpse and follow them,” Sani continued.
The group was eventually led to another location, where they encountered General Tsiga, also abducted by the bandits, as well as several other victims, including four women and a newborn baby.
Another survivor, who was also targeted by the bandits, recounted his terrifying experience. “I was sitting at a tea seller’s shop when I heard a gun pointed at my head. The person ordered me to give him my phone,” he said. The bandits also seized a bag containing several mobile phones that had been brought to the shop for charging.
These harrowing testimonies shed light on the escalating threat of banditry in the region, leaving victims and local residents urgently calling for swift action from authorities to curb the growing violence.
