“Tyla Secures Her First Fashion Campaign with GAP”

Grammy Award winner Tyla has been featured in her first-ever ad campaign for Gap Spring 2024.
The debut fashion campaign for GAP’s Spring 2024 collection features the South African vocalist for the first time. In the advertisement, she is captured dancing to the tune of Jungle’s Back on 74 while wearing stylish tan cargo pants and a coordinating crop top from Gap’s latest linen line. Notably, the 22-year-old artist and Jungle have joined forces with Gap to curate a special in-store playlist to commemorate the collection’s release.
The recent Gap advertisement represents another significant achievement in Tyla’s burgeoning career. Her breakthrough track, Water, emerged as one of the standout radio hits in 2023, reaching as high as number 7 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Additionally, in February 2024, she earned her inaugural Grammy award for Best African Music Performance.
During her interview with W Magazine, Tyla spoke about her representation of GAP, her early life, and her upcoming tour. When asked about the influx of milestones and opportunities over the last few months, she said, “It’s been a huge blessing. I’m just so grateful that I’m able to experience all of this. It’s literally like my dreams are coming true. I’m putting my music, South African, and African culture on the map, and that’s all I’ve wanted to do”.
In addition to her latest fashion campaign, the Grammy winner will also perform at the Roots Picnic. Her new album drops in March, and she kickstarts her tour in the United Kingdom, the United States, and Europe.
