Ooni of Ife Breaks Silence on Prince Owoade’s Appointment as New Alaafin of Oyo by Gov. Seyi Makinde

Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, the Ooni of Ife, has reacted after Governor Seyi Makinde’s appointment of Prince Abimbola Owoade as the new Alaafin of Oyo.
The Ooni congratulated Prince Owoade on his appointment, emphasizing the significance of serving the people with unwavering dedication and commitment.
He praised the new king’s ascension as a testament to the strength and resilience of the Yoruba people.
Oba Ogunwusi also advised the new Alaafin to uphold peace and build strong relationships with all parties, including the kingmakers in Oyo State. He cautioned Owoade to steer clear of favoritism and bias in his leadership.
As noted by journalist, the Ooni expressed, “Please be ready to toe the path of peace with all the kingmakers without favouritism and partiality so that you can serve your people as a beacon of hope, justice, and development”.
