Nollywood Mourns as Veteran Actor Asa Koko Passes Away

The Nigerian film industry has been thrown into mourning following the passing of veteran Nollywood actor Asa Koko. He died after battling an undisclosed illness.

The sad news was confirmed by his colleague, Kunle Afod, who shared the announcement on Instagram. Afod posted a video from his last visit to Asa Koko’s home, where he revealed that the late actor had been struggling with health issues, including a swollen leg.

During their conversation, Asa Koko mentioned that the state governor had visited him in the hospital while he was receiving treatment.

In an emotional tribute, Afod wrote:
“May his soul rest in peace. Asa Koko hmmmm. It’s a WRAP.” He concluded with prayers for the deceased.

Asa Koko’s death marks another great loss to Nollywood, where he was known for his contributions to the industry over the years.
