Daughter of Renowned Nollywood Actor Agbako Remembers His Final Moments: “My Father Died in My Arms”

Motunrayo ‘Iwalewa’ Charles, daughter of the late veteran Nollywood actor Abdulsalam Sanyaolu, known as Charles Olumo or Agbako, shared details of her father’s final moments.

Agbako passed away on October 31 at the age of 101 in his home in Ogun State and was laid to rest the same day according to Islamic rites.

Contrary to rumors that he died on a movie set, Motunrayo recounted in an interview that he passed away at home in her arms. She explained how she cared for him before his death, describing the moments when he became unresponsive after she prepared him for the day.

Motunrayo, who paused her acting career for four years to care for her father, appealed to the government for support, emphasizing the sacrifices made to care for the late actor and the need for the family’s welfare to be considered.
