Baba-Ijesha has back to movie location amidst ongoing trial

Baba Ijesha granted 2m bail

Embattled Nollywood actor, James Omiyinka a.k.a Baba Ijesha, has returned to acting movies amidst his ongoing trial for sexual assault of a minor.

The actor revealed this in an interview with a radio station (Oodua FM 90.9) in Ile-Ife, Osun State.

He described acting as his first love.

He said he is working on a movie that is being shot in Ile-Ife, Osun State.

The actor also promoted two new songs titled; ‘Eleda mi’ and ‘very soon,’ during the interview.

He did not speak on his ongoing court trial.

Baba Ijesha was recently granted bail after he was charged with sexually assaulting a minor.

He faced a six count charge bordering on indecent treatment of a child, sexual assault, attempted sexual assault by penetration and sexual assault by penetration.

Baba Ijesha was arrested first on 22 April , 2021, by the Lagos State Police Command.

During the last court sitting, the minor the actor allegedly assaulted testified against him and was cross-examined by the defendant lawyers, Dada Awosika, SAN; Babatunde Ogala, SAN and other lawyers.

Continuation of hearing in Baba Ijesha’ case would continue on Wednesday and Thursday.
