Asake and Wizkid just broke a new Spotify record with their track ‘MMS’
The release of Asake third studio album titled Lungu Boy, The multiple award-winning singer and performer has set a new record on the Spotify Top Songs Nigeria daily chart with his collaboration with Wizkid titled ‘MMS.’
‘MMS’ with a total of 870,000 streams set a new record for the highest first-day streams for a song on the Spotify Top Songs Daily chart for Nigeria surpassing ‘IDK’ by Wizkid which features Zlatan.
MMS recorded a a 200,000 streams plus increase as opposed to Wizkid’s IDK which recorded over 626,000 streams on its first full day of tracking.
The song initially recorded over 100,000 streams in its first hour of tracking (12 am – 1 am) WAT. MMS is slowly working its way to becoming an all-time favourite off the ‘Lungu Boy’ album with his collaboration with Travis Scott, ‘Active’ making a re-entry on the Spotify Global Charts with over 1.7 million streams.
