Victor AD
Victor Adere, known professionally as Victor AD, is a Nigerian singer and songwriter. He was born on August 2, 1993, in Kirikiri, Apapa, Lagos State, Nigeria.
Victor AD grew up in Lagos as the second of four children. He attended Heritage International School in Lagos and Ekpan Secondary School in Uvwie, within the Warri metropolitan area. He later studied Electrical Engineering at Auchi Polytechnic, Edo State, graduating in 2017.
Victor AD began his music career in 2014 and initially worked with producers including Kulboybeat, Kizzybeatz, ID Clef and Mr Nolimitz. His early releases included Jowo, which became a theme song for Radio Continental, followed by No Idea in 2017.
He gained wider recognition in 2018 following the release of “Wetin We Gain” on June 17. The song became his breakthrough record and helped establish him as one of the notable emerging voices in Nigerian music. That same year, he was discovered by management company Longitude Promotions.
Victor AD is known for incorporating themes of ambition, perseverance and everyday experiences into his songwriting. His music spans Afrobeats and contemporary Nigerian pop, with his breakthrough period establishing him as a prominent singer-songwriter on the Nigerian music scene.
