King Perryy
Ikechukwu Anthony Offiah, professionally known as King Perryy, is a Nigerian Afrofusion singer and songwriter. He was born on April 28, 1997, in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria, and hails from Ezeagu, Enugu State.
King Perryy developed an interest in music at an early age and began his professional career in 2014 with the release of his debut single, Walakolombo. He later studied Project Management at the Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO). His career gained momentum after connecting with Timaya, eventually becoming affiliated with Dem Mama Records, where he refined his sound and expanded his audience.
He rose to prominence in 2018 with the release of Man on Duty featuring Timaya, followed by Kom Kom alongside Timaya and Patoranking. His subsequent releases, including Work N Grind and Murder featuring Teni, further established him as one of Nigeria’s emerging Afrofusion artists.
Known for blending Afrobeats, dancehall, reggae, hip-hop, drill, and electronic music, King Perryy has built a reputation for experimenting with diverse African and global sounds. His 2020 single YKTFV (You Know The Fvcking Vibes) featuring PsychoYP became associated with the rise of Nigerian drill music and was recognized as part of the country’s evolving drill movement.
In 2021, he released his debut studio album, Citizen of the World, featuring collaborations with Phyno, Kizz Daniel, Timaya, Mayorkun, Oxlade, and PsychoYP. He followed this with the EPs African Boy (2022), Continental Playlist (2023), Niggas From The South (2024), and Continental Rave (2025), showcasing his continued exploration of Afrofusion, dancehall, Afrotech, and electronic music. Through projects such as the Denge series, he has collaborated with artists from across West, East, and Southern Africa, reinforcing his vision of a pan-African musical identity.
