Napoli Rejects Marcus Rashford Links, Complicates Manchester United’s Pursuit of Kvaratskhelia
Serie A club Napoli has decided against pursuing a deal for Marcus Rashford this winter, according to transfer insider Matteo Moretto. Despite recent speculation linking the England forward to the Italian club, Napoli has confirmed they are not interested in signing him.
Rashford, who has fallen out of favor at Manchester United, is actively being offered to other clubs, with AC Milan, Juventus, and Borussia Dortmund reportedly in talks with his agent.
Manchester United had explored the possibility of using Rashford in a player-plus-cash deal for Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, the highly-rated Georgian winger valued at over £60 million by Napoli. However, with the Serie A giants ruling out a move for Rashford, United may be unable to land Kvaratskhelia, especially given their financial limitations due to Financial Fair Play regulations.
Other clubs such as PSG, Chelsea, and Liverpool have also expressed interest in Kvaratskhelia, putting United at a disadvantage as they face a difficult winter transfer window.
