Wike Declares: ‘Magnus Abe and I Are Not on the Same Level, I Have Nothing to Say About Him’
In a candid interview with SYMFONI TV, In a recent statement, Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister Nyesom Wike issued a stern warning to elder statesmen in Rivers State, vowing to retaliate against any actions taken against him. Speaking with characteristic boldness, Wike said, “I will hit back at any elder statesman in Rivers State who tries to undermine me.”
When asked about his relationship with former ally and political figure Magnus Abe, Wike dismissed any comparison, stating, “I don’t want to talk about him, never. We’re not at the same level. I graduated from the University of Port–Harcourt.” This remark emphasized Wike’s educational achievements and appeared to underline his view of a significant disparity between himself and Abe.
Reflecting on his legacy and contributions to leadership, Wike expressed confidence that history would honor his achievements. “Successors of our successors will honor me. That is why I say, we thank you for making the man who won the Great River State a medical flower in Nigeria,” he said.
Wike’s statements have once again highlighted his combative political style and his pride in his record of governance. While his remarks have drawn mixed reactions, they underscore his readiness to defend his legacy and position in both Rivers State and national politics.
