Peter Obi Donates N10 Million to Support Nursing Training in Anambra
Peter Obi, the 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party, has donated N10 million to assist in the training of nurses at the Tansian University of Nursing, located in Oba, Anambra State.
The former governor of Anambra State explained that his contribution aligns with his dedication to improving healthcare and education in Nigeria.
Obi shared details of his visit to the institution on Sunday, March 16, through a post on X, where he also uploaded pictures with students and faculty members.
Highlighting the importance of investing in education, Obi reiterated that it is not merely an expense but a vital investment in the country’s future.
He emphasized that Nigeria’s development should be built on key pillars such as healthcare, education, and poverty alleviation.
During his visit, he engaged with the students and faculty, expressing admiration for their dedication. In his words, “My interaction with the students was enlightening, and I donated N10 million to support the institution’s mission of training well-qualified healthcare professionals.”
Obi reaffirmed his commitment to supporting institutions like the Tansian University of Nursing, aiming to enhance their efforts in fostering a healthier, more educated society while contributing to poverty reduction.
