Nollywood actress Sharon Okpamen passes away after childbirth

Nollywood actress Sharon Okpamen passed away on Sunday, nearly a month after giving birth to her second child.

The tragic news was confirmed by her colleague, Stanley Ontop, who shared the announcement on his Instagram account on Saturday, August 24, 2024.

Ontop wrote, Nollywood Actor and Producer Sharon Okpamen has unfortunately passed on.

“It’s a sad day for Nollywood & the Edo entertainment industry. Sharon, who was a filmmaker, actress, entrepreneur & humanitarian, has left a significant void in the industry.

“May her soul rest in perfect peace, Amen @sharonokpamen.”

Sharon had announced the birth of her second child on her Facebook page on July 31. After the delivery, she reportedly fell into a coma and sadly passed away.
