Kunle Afod Shares Key Life Lesson After 38 Years in Acting

Kunle Afod, a renowned actor and director with 38 years of experience in the Nigerian entertainment industry, shared a profound life lesson during an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN). Reflecting on his career, Afod emphasized that “there is no friend or foe anywhere” in life.
He cautioned that individuals should not view others as permanent friends or enemies, as circumstances can change unexpectedly. He explained that someone believed to be a friend might turn into a traitor, while a perceived enemy might become instrumental to one’s success.
Afod, who began his acting career in 1986, said, “I have been able to learn these two phases of life which everyone should beware of.” He advised people to remain open-minded, stating, “The person you see as your friend might come to stab you, and that fellow you see as your enemy might be the person that will help you.” He further shared that he had learned there are no fixed friends or foes in life, and it is better to be liberal in relationships.
In addition to his life lessons, Afod revealed plans to produce a big-screen project in 2025 and launch a new series of the Proverbs Challenge. He expressed a passion for creating competitive content, saying, “This year, I am looking toward the big screen. I will also be coming up with new series of the proverbs challenge this year. I like creating contents that are competitive.”
Afod also offered advice to up-and-coming actors and directors, encouraging them to continually work on improving their knowledge. “Directors should also be willing to carry out lots of research to improve on their work, upgrade their knowledge from time to time,” he stated.
