Atiku’s Aide Commends Military Officer After Exchange With FCT Minister Wike

Demola Olanrewaju, Special Assistant on Media to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, has reacted to a viral video showing a confrontation between a Nigerian military officer and the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike.

Olanrewaju shared his reaction on his official X (formerly Twitter) account on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, commending the officer for his conduct during the exchange.

In the viral video, the officer was seen telling the FCT Minister, “I am an officer. I am a commissioned officer. I have integrity. I won’t shut up. You cannot shut me up. We won’t kill anybody. I am not a fool. I am a 3-star general. I am speaking and a police officer is speaking. I am acting on orders.”

The incident reportedly occurred during an attempt by FCT officials to demolish the property of former Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Awwal Zubairu Gambo (rtd), in Abuja.

Olanrewaju, in his post, expressed support for the officer’s stance, describing his actions as reflective of professionalism and integrity.
