Kwara United Players Receive Call-Up to Super Eagles B Team
Three players from Kwara United have been called up to join the Super Eagles B team for the qualifying match against Ghana in the 2025 Africa Nations Championship.The selected players are goalkeeper Nurudeen Badmus, midfielder Akanni Akeem, and defender Ibrahim Yahaya.
Kwara United’s General Manager, Mallam Bashir Badawiy, confirmed their selection on social media.Kwara United announced on X that Coach Augustine Eguavoen has invited these three players to the CHAN Eagles camp: “We are pleased to share that goalkeeper Nurudeen Badmus, midfielder Akanni Akeem, and defender Ibrahim Yahaya will join the team.”
The players will meet up with the squad right after their Matchday 10 game in Abuja. The first leg of the qualifying match is scheduled for the weekend of December 20-22, with the return match taking place a week later. The overall winner of this matchup will secure a spot in CHAN 2025, which will be co-hosted by Kenya, Moore, and Tanzania, with the tournament set to run from February 1 to 28, 2025.
