“There Are Some Mistakes People Make That Follow Them to the Grave” – Dr. Daniel Olukoya
Dr. Daniel Olukoya, General Overseer of the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM), delivered a message during a recent sermon titled ‘Confronting Your Esau’.
Drawing from Genesis 32 and 33:1-4, alongside Hosea 12:2-4, Dr. Olukoya shed light on the destructive nature of certain life choices and the spiritual repercussions they bring.
Speaking passionately, Dr. Olukoya warned against mistakes that have eternal consequences. “I’m praying for somebody here—may you never make mistakes that will pursue you to your grave in the name of Jesus,” he declared, emphasizing the gravity of decisions that shape one’s destiny.
He highlighted that while some errors are correctable, others linger, permanently altering a person’s life and spiritual trajectory.
The sermon focused on the spirit of Esau, which Dr. Olukoya described as embodying a lack of self-examination and spiritual reflection. He urged believers to confront and overcome this spirit to avoid irreversible errors. Using the biblical narrative of Esau, who sold his birthright for immediate gratification, Dr. Olukoya illustrated how impulsive decisions can have lifelong consequences.
“May you never make mistakes that will pursue you to your grave,” he reiterated, encouraging his congregation to seek divine guidance and reflect deeply before making life-altering choices.
Dr. Olukoya concluded with fervent prayers, asking God to deliver His people from errors that have eternal repercussions and to empower them with wisdom and discernment.
