Moment helicopter crashed on Oba Akran in Lagos (Photos, video)

The helicopter which crash-landed besides UBA on Oba Akra Avenue, in Ikeja area of Lagos, Southwest Nigeria, has been evacuated.

The helicopter registered 5NCCQ, crashed beside the bank around 4.00pm on Tuesday with two passengers on board rescued alive.

According to the Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), Dr. Femi Oke-Osanyintolu, the agency activated its disaster response plan to the scene of the incident.
He said the helicopter was evacuated from the scene of the incident around 5:30pm.

“The helicopter registered 5NCCQ was finally confirmed to contain 2 passengers and it has been safely removed from the road which is now free for vehicular movement.

“All Emergency Responders are now departing the scene. Further investigation to be carried out by NCAA,” he said.
