Tyla Releases New EP WWP (We Wanna Party), Featuring Wizkid on “Dynamite”
South African artist Tyla has released a new EP titled WWP (We Wanna Party), available now via FAX and Epic Records. The four-track project includes the singles Bliss, Is It, Mr. Media, and Dynamite, featuring Nigerian Afrobeats star Wizkid.
The EP builds on the success of Tyla’s Grammy-winning breakout hit Water and showcases her evolving sound, blending Amapiano, Afrobeats, R&B, and pop. Tyla describes the project as a celebration of “enjoyment with people that are a vibe,” with the EP’s title inspired by a popular South African chant.
Production credits include P.Priime, Sammy Soso, and Ari PenSmith, whose work contributes to a vibrant, cohesive sound that reflects Tyla’s South African roots while aiming for global reach.
Among the standout tracks is “Dynamite”, a collaboration with Wizkid that became available in July 2025. Originally developed from a 2022 demo, the song pairs Tyla’s emotive vocals with Wizkid’s smooth Afrobeats influence. The result is a flirtatious, high-energy Afro-fusion track anchored by the hook: “Your body bang like dynamite.”
Wizkid, founder of Starboy Entertainment and a Grammy-winning performer, brings a seasoned presence to the track. His performance complements Tyla’s dynamic energy, and his global reputation adds an extra layer of appeal to the collaboration.
Earlier singles Bliss and Is It set the tone for the project, with Bliss debuting at Coachella and Is It gaining attention for its bold lyrics and viral dance challenges. The EP closes with Mr. Media, a track that takes aim at critics with sharp lyricism and strong vocal delivery.
Despite some online debate around the chant that inspired the EP’s title, WWP has been widely praised for its energetic production and genre-blending approach.
The WWP (We Wanna Party) EP is available for streaming on all major platforms.
