Cole Palmer Open to Manchester United Move Amid Uncertainty Over Chelsea Future

Cole Palmer’s long-term future at Chelsea remains uncertain, with reports suggesting the England international would consider a move to Manchester United if doubts persist over his role and prospects at Stamford Bridge.
Palmer joined Chelsea from Manchester City in the summer of 2023 for £40 million and has since emerged as a key attacking figure. The 23-year-old has made 110 appearances across all competitions, recording 48 goals and 29 assists.
While his output this season has dipped compared to previous campaigns, Palmer has still scored five goals in 849 minutes, underlining his continued impact despite reduced playing time.
Former Chelsea defender Marcel Desailly has reportedly questioned Palmer’s long-term commitment to the club. According to the report, Palmer is keen to play within a clearly defined system where he is a central figure and to compete consistently for major trophies.
Desailly is said to believe the midfielder values stability and clarity within the squad. If Chelsea are unable to demonstrate that they can challenge for the Premier League title in the near future, Palmer may be open to joining a club with more defined ambitions.
Manchester United are reported to be monitoring the situation closely as Chelsea seek to retain one of their standout players while adjusting under a new manager.
