Dewunmi Fatai Expresses Desire for Another Child

Popular Yoruba Nollywood actress and makeup artist, Dewunmi Fatai, has opened up about her personal aspirations, particularly her wish to have another child.

In a recent discussion with Biola Adebayo, Fatai revealed that she is actively seeking a responsible partner who could father her second child. As a mother of a nine-year-old son, she admitted feeling incomplete with just one child and is determined to expand her family before it becomes biologically challenging.

She reflected on her son’s father, who has gone on to have multiple children with other women, while she remains with only one. This, she explained, has further fueled her desire to have another child of her own.

Fatai also disclosed that she once contemplated relocating to the United Kingdom but ultimately chose to stay in Nigeria due to the heavy responsibilities of balancing work, household duties, and raising her child alone. However, she acknowledged that if her circumstances improved—especially in terms of her personal life—she might reconsider moving abroad in the future.

Speaking on her decision, she stated, “I may be a single mother, but I still want another child before I give up on childbirth. I don’t feel complete with just one. My son is turning nine, and his father has already had four more children while I still have only one. That’s why I’m looking for a responsible man who can father my next child.”
