Ganduje Warns Anambra Billionaires: Don’t Use Wealth to Destabilize APC
The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Ganduje, has urged wealthy individuals in Anambra State to avoid using their financial influence to create division within the party ahead of the April 5, 2025, governorship primary.
Speaking in Abuja during a courtesy visit by the support group ‘Booth to Booth with Bola Tinubu,’ Ganduje emphasized the need for party unity and warned against money politics. “We know they are very rich, but they should not use their money to scatter the state. Instead, they should help develop the state and strengthen APC,” he stated.
Ganduje assured stakeholders of a fair and transparent primary election, adding that he would even “give an award” if a consensus candidate emerged. He also noted that the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) would decide between a direct or indirect primary after due consultation.
Meanwhile, the group’s National Coordinator, Iyke Madu, urged the APC to adopt an indirect primary due to insecurity concerns in Anambra, citing the state government’s inability to hold local elections for the same reason.
As the primary election approaches, all eyes will be on the APC’s next move in Anambra.
