BREAKING NEWS: APC Gets Highest Votes In Edo Central Senatorial District
The winner of the election to the House of Representatives to represent the Akoko-Edo Federal Constituency for a record-breaking fourth term has been named as HoPeter Akpatason, Deputy Majority Leader of the House of Representatives.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) collation officer, Professor Robert Okuonghae, announced the results in Igarra, the constituency’s administrative center. .
He said that Akpatason, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, received 14,982 votes in total to defeat Hon. Kabiru Adjoto of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), served 9,293 votes, and the Labour Party received 7,993 votes.

According to findings released by Professor Ray Ozuolua DVC Academics, Monday Okpebholo, who received 41,334 votes to the LP’s 32,574 and the PDP’s 25,225, was the first candidate from a party other than the PDP to win the Edo Central Senatorial District.
In the meantime, Odianosen Okojie, the husband of Nollywood actress Mercy Johnson, won the House of Representatives seat for the Esan South-East/Esan North-East Federal Constituency with a total of 21,764 votes, defeating the PDP with 10,007 votes and the LP with 11,528 votes. Dr. Victor Imade announced the results.
The PDP’s Andy Momodu received 25,132 votes in the Etsako Federal Constituency, whilst the APC’s Dekery Anamero won with 58,692 votes, according to the results announced by the returning officer, Professor Buniyamin Adesina Ayinde.
