Simisola Bolatito Ogunleye, professionally known as Simi, is a Nigerian singer-songwriter, sound engineer, and actress born on 19 April 1988 in Ojuelegba, Surulere, Lagos, Nigeria. She initially released a gospel album titled Ogaju (2008), transitioned into Afro-pop and soul with her breakthrough singles like “Tiff” (2014) and “Jamb Question”, and released studio albums including Simisola (2017), Omo Charlie Champagne, Vol. 1 (2019), To Be Honest (2022), and Lost and Found (2024). Simi also co-founded her own label, Studio Brat, in 2019 and contributed as a sound engineer to Adekunle Gold’s debut album.
